2026 Spring Plant Sale - To be Announced

Lettuce be your farmer!

Our Farming Practices

Our farm is committed to providing farm-fresh, seasonal, and locally grown produce to our community and Farm Camp community. We believe everyone should have a meaningful relationship with their food—knowing where it comes from and how it’s grown. Our transparent farming practices are rooted in environmental stewardship and a deep respect for our natural resources.

We are passionate about educating the next generation on sustainable agriculture, healthy eating, and the importance of caring for the land. Children and visitors are actively involved in food production—planting, harvesting, and learning alongside our farmers.

By building relationships with our customers and the camp community, we strive to create a more connected, resilient local food system. We work to make fresh, nutritious food accessible to all members of our community.  We believe that access to fresh, healthy food is essential to the well-being of individuals, families, and future generations.

Our goal is not only to sustain, but to regenerate the land through holistic, biodiversity-focused, and environmentally responsible farming methods.

We practice regenerative agriculture—an approach that goes beyond sustainability to actively improve soil health, increase biodiversity, restore ecosystems, and draw carbon back into the earth. By nurturing the land in this way, we help ensure it remains vibrant and productive for future generations, while supporting the health of our planet today.

The produce from HCFC is the best I have ever purchased! I wish I had found this local farm sooner!  I feel good knowing that I am getting top quality produce that is locally grown. The love and hard work that the farm has for food shows through the quality, quantity and variety of produce we receive in our shares.

Receiving food at peak

When buying locally grown food I am receiving food at its peak!  I love knowing that the food I serve my family was just picked straight from the field. It is delicious and nutritious. I can taste its freshness!

Reducing Carbon Footprint

Reducing Carbon Footprint

Being an environmentally conscious person, one of the ways I help to reduce the carbon footprint is by eating seasonal produce that is grown locally. I appreciate the fact that my food is only traveling a short distance from farm to my fork!

An added benefit is having the opportunity to be involved in the life of the farm. We see the beauty of the farm each time we pick up our produce and we can also visit the various growing areas to see our future produce!

I love that I see the colors of the rainbow in my produce. The aroma and flavor of my farm-fresh food can't be beat.  The difference in the flavor of produce eaten straight from the field can be tasted in every bite.

Healthy ecosystems

Rich soil and water retention

Through using sustainable food production practices that works in harmony with nature, we let nature create healthy ecosystem on our farmland. By encouraging biodiversity, there are many plants and animals living along side each other just as nature intended.

Regenerative agriculture promotes rich soil conditions, protect watersheds, and enhances the health of local wildlife.  Through reducing disturbances and keeping the soil covered, we provide an environment for microbes to thrive. Healthy topsoil retains water, absorbs nutrients and stores carbon.

Healthy crops

Healthy crops

We use natural inputs made mostly from things grown on our farm to produce highly nutritious and hardy crops.

We plant a variety of heirloom seeds to help preserve time-tested seeds which tend to have superior taste and are more resistance to disease and insects

Healthy plants are more adaptable to extreme weather conditions.
