'Twas the night before hibernation, when all through the land, on the farm we gathered, hand in hand. The season complete with hard work and care, cold weather is coming—the land is now bare. Spring, summer, and fall, fun was had every day, through purposeful work and creative play. The projects were many, the harvests were plenty, with learning, laughter, and moments of peace. The north wind has taken leaves from the trees; in the sky there are migrating geese.
No bees or butterflies can now be found; the acorns are buried deep underground.
Daylight grows shorter, it’s time for rest, as winter draws near, we know we are blessed.
